“Burwood is one of NSW’s most dynamic and diverse LGA’s, it is important that Council is responsive to the changing needs of our community. My team and I are committed to creating a Council that is representative, accessible and responsive to the needs of residents and business owners. We are committed to involving the community in shaping the Council’s future. ” John SIDOTI

“Almost 60% of Burwood residents speak a language other than English at home, so we need to ensure that our services are accessible with translated material for those who can’t speak English.” Henson LIANG

“We have a significant ageing population, with 19% of our residents aged over 60; we need to ensure that our roads, footpaths, public spaces and services are accessible for our elderly and disabled.”  Stephanie KOKKOLIS

“The people of Burwood are a giving community, with 11% participating in volunteering work, almost 13% providing unpaid care for theongir children at home, and 10% providing unpaid assistance to a person with a disability. We need to recognise the contribution of volunteers in our community and the difference they make in the lives of so many people.” Joe ALVARO

“We need to utilise the knowledge, experience and ideas of our residents
