Clr John Sidoti attends a function at the Burwood Library to celebrate international refugee week and to sign a declaration that Burwood along with 70 other Councils are a welcome zone for refugees. it is a symbolic agreement to acknowledge our obligations as individuals and as a nation to tolerance and understanding and to be simpathetic to those less fortunate than ourselves. A very special day indeed. many thanks to Council staff and all those present.
Cr Sidoti attends the Centenary Mass for the Christian Brothers College Burwood at St Mary’s Cathedral Sydney. What was probably one of the most inspiring services I have attended. The music was absolutely sensational , the service by Cardinal George Pell was brilliant and the tributes to both former teachers and students by the principal Mr Calton very moving. Best of luck to everyone and good luck to the Southern Cross Catholic Vocational College that will commence when Christian Brothers closes at the end of the year.
