JOHN SIDOTI

A man of the people with a gentle demeanour, John Sidoti is a true advocate for local issues.

“I believe that being accessible and listening to people’s concerns are the two greatest attributes of any representative. I prefer to save the talking for representing people’s concerns”.

A devoted husband and father, John is committed to supporting families in the area. Married to Sandra for 13 years, they have three children under the age of nine.

John’s passion for local issues has spanned 20 years and has seen him run at local, state and federal levels to represent the community. A former President of a Chamber Of Commerce, and Liberal Candidate for the Federal seat of Lowe in the 2004 election he is committed to giving you a voice.

“I have spent a lot of time listening to thousands of people in the area, talking about what matters to them. Childcare, elderly care, access to local services, support for small business. My team and I are 100% committed to making a difference.”

A generous individual, John has held hundreds of fundraisers over the years for local sporting organizations, church groups and charities such as the Spastic Centre, Cancer Research, and numerous individuals who have needed help in the community. Passionate about sport, and an avid follower of Rugby League, tennis and golf, John is also a member of Burwood RSL and Massey Park golf course.

As a successful small business operator for 15 years, servicing all of Sydney, John understands the challenges facing the Burwood local business community and indeed the community at large.

“The residents of Burwood Council deserve a voice, to be heard, consulted, and to shape the future of their area. What they don’t want is a Planning Minister from Macquarie Street deciding what is best for them.”

John will bring small business experience to Council. He will improve efficiencies to foster better services. He will work with all councillors for the whole community and will return much needed balance to Burwood Council.
